On October 12, 2020, the members of the 1014 board of directors came together for their fall board meeting. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the directors met, once again, virtually via video conferencing. During the meeting, the directors discussed the annual budget as well as the events and projects planned for next year. Representatives of the German government, as owners of the project space 1014 Fifth Avenue, informed the directors about the state of the refurbishment planning. On September 21, they launched the tender procedure for the general planning team which can be found here.
General planners can hand in their applications until October 30, 2020, followed by their proposals. The final decision is expected in April 2021. The directors expressed their gratitude as well as their hope for a speedy refurbishment process.
