This spring, 1014 Fifth Avenue was buzzing again with dialogue and creativity. From political discussions to performances, music, and an architectural exhibition, we have continued to bring experts and creatives together from both sides of the Atlantic!
1014 held 18 events between February and June, covering a large range of topics and formats, including a performance of Berlin-based Ukrainian artist Anton Kats alongside performers from New York. More than 800 audience members joined us in person at our space for ideas, while various online events continued to connect with our viewers from elsewhere.
If you would like to explore the talks, performances, and other events from this season, please visit our recordings page for a selection of event recordings.
Our spring fundraising has exceeded expectations. We have received 55 donations amounting to more than $14,000 throughout the spring season. Thank you to all board members and supporters who have contributed to this success! We would also like to thank you for continuing to spread the word about our mission and program. If you wish to contribute to 1014’s success with a donation, you can so do here.
The refurbishment plans for 1014 Fifth Avenue is in the final stage of approval by the German Government. This will allow for construction to start in 2024. During the renovation period, led by David Chipperfield Architects, the building will be transformed into a state of the art venue for international exchange across disciplines – a true space for ideas in the heart of New York City.
The 1014 team is looking forward to welcoming everyone back to our space this September after Labor Day for an exciting exhibition by Annette Cords, as well as our Annual Fundraiser Dinner Party! Keep an eye out on our website and newsletter for more information. Have a wonderful summer!
